"I worked with Janet on a 12-week program meeting with her once a week. At the time I started my training I had a very lofty goal of losing (a scary & intimidating) 25 pounds for an event and vacation I was preparing for. From the very first session Janet took my focus away from that scary number and had me focusing on my eating habits and workouts. She helped me stay on track as far as my nutrition, how often I was working out and what exercises I was doing each workout. By adjusting my focus away from the weight loss I found myself being surprised when a pair of jeans was too big or I could fit into a size that was smaller than my norm. At the end of my 12-week program I had lost a total of 17 pounds and was two pant sizes smaller. I was shocked that I had such success in such a short amount of time! Janet made losing the weight easy and fun! The best part is that because of the education I received during my training, I am much more aware of my nutrition as well as what type of exercises I should continue to do. Also, I have been able to continue to drop a few pounds as a result of the knowledge I received from Janet. Janet as an instructor is phenomenal! She is a trainer, counselor, cheerleader and a friend all rolled into one. At the start of my training she was very strict about what I needed to do and challenged me to do things outside of my comfort zone. She understood that it was tough, but she knew that it could be done - she was always my strongest cheerleader. As I started to get the hang of my new life, she became more of a confidant. I was able to tell her if I had a good or bad day and why. What I needed was someone to be accountable to about my weight loss and she made sure that I was being true to my goals and myself. I would highly recommend Janet to anyone that wanted to lose weight, get in shape or learn more about fitness!
